Precision Hydrogen Standard

Manufacturer – Peak Scientific

Description: Precision Hydrogen Standard on-site generator produces ultra-high-purity hydrogen (~99.9995 %) from de-ionized water using PEM technology — eliminating the need for hydrogen cylinders and supporting GC detector fuel gas. Designed for laboratory GC detector applications (e.g., FID), it offers a compact, modular footprint with built-in safety features and minimal maintenance.

Technical Specifications:
Purity: up to 99.9995 % hydrogen.
Maximum outlet pressure: 100 psi / 6.9 bar.
Flow-rates / Sub-model options: 100 cc/min, 200 cc/min, 300 cc/min, 450 cc/min under the Standard series.
Water consumption (typical): up to ~0.12 L/day for 100 cc/min model; higher for larger flow models. Electrical: 110-230 V, 50/60 Hz, ~6 A for smaller units; power consumption ~300-422 W depending on model.
Footprint: Approx 406 × 380 × 540 mm (HxWxD) for typical units; weight ~31 kg.
Key Features:
• Uses Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) generation technology to produce hydrogen on-demand from de-ionized water.
• Hydrocarbon-free hydrogen output suitable for sensitive GC detector applications.
• Internal leak-detection and automatic shutdown for increased safety.
• Modular and compact design for bench-top or stacked installation, reducing need for cylinder storage.
• Low maintenance: limited to replacing de-ionizer cartridge and silica gel desiccant; minimal user intervention.
• Suitable for supplying multiple GC detector fuel gas outputs from a single generator in many labs.
Applications: Ideal for providing high-purity hydrogen fuel gas for GC detectors (such as FID) and other analytical instrumentation requiring consistent hydrogen supply.
Sub-models:
• Precision Hydrogen 100 (flow ~100 cc/min)
• Precision Hydrogen 200 (flow ~200 cc/min)
• Precision Hydrogen 300 (flow ~300 cc/min)
• Precision Hydrogen 450 (flow ~450 cc/min)
